Having hiked thousands of miles over the last twenty years and camped hundreds of times in all sorts of manners, Damien Logan has learned a lot about equipment, methods and assorted skills that will help other hikers find comfort and success.

In 2006, he hiked the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in a single hike. The trip lasted nearly 6 months and was almost 2200 miles of hiking over mountain and flatland alike.

Since then, he has interviewed many long distance hikers to understand what worked best for them as well and how they met with success.

He has also attended Tom Brown Jr's Tracker School and is an Eagle Scout who has served as a Scoutmaster teaching youth about numerous outdoor skills. This includes a number of years as a emergency survival councilor.
